Not just any kind of art slave. A naked art slave.

I came across this ad in a local art magazine when I just arrived to the Bay Area back in September. Just $1 999 999.99 to own a living, breathing, naked man for an entire year. You can have him do anything you like for 365 days; he can be art for you, he can make art for you, he can wear clothes for you if you like. Not only do you have a naked art slave in your possession, you are also responsible for his well-being – meaning, you must provide healthcare for him and feed him. I am pretty sure no one has hired him.
On his super annoying website, he shares a few facts about himself, his philosophy on art, and a bunch of other work he’s created. A self-admitted “attention whore,” Johnny Naked believes that “all art is just some form of masturbation…even the good art. It’s just really good masturbation.”
I’m trying to understand the whole concept here. It might just be exposing our uneasiness with nudity. Or it might just reveal how we’re obsessed with it, depending on whether or not we’d like to have Johnny Naked around. Regardless of the concept’s validity, I can’t take this guy seriously.
